About

After graduating from Seneca College, Audio Visual Techniques and Multi-Media Productions Program, I started my career in the television production and post-production industry in Toronto, Ontario working with feature film, television, and commercial clients.

Later, after becoming licensed with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), I continued my education at Seneca College in Home Staging, Colour Theory, and Digital Photography.  My visual flair, eye for colour, and natural interior decorating skills came forward when staging clients' homes for sale.

Inevitably, once I helped my real estate client’s stage and decorate their homes to be sold, they could see the beauty in their homes once again. In fact, they often expressed that had they hired a professional to decorating their home before listing it, they may not have moved. That’s when I realized that my true passion wasn’t to help people buy or sell their homes; I wanted to help them become happy, healthy, and more productive in their current homes.

It wasn’t until a chance trip to Hawaii in 2014 with my husband and son I made the connection with colour, healing, happiness, and joy. If you have ever been to Hawaii, you understand the colours there are like nowhere else. The colours spoke to me. It felt like the entire time I was there I was smiling. The vibrant greens on the trees and mountain sides. The stunning turquoise ocean. The calming neutral sand and rock, sprinkled with a splash of the most breathtaking pops of colourful flowers. And those sunsets are simply perfect every time. I wanted to learn more about how surrounding yourself with colours that are personal to you could directly change your mood and ultimately your personal health. I truly believe there is a direct connection between your personal colour preferences and a healthy life.

Deborah-Lynn Vitale is the Sole Proprietor of Staging4Life and has also been recently appointed a volunteer role as the Director, Chair of Marketing & Communications for D&DA Canada, Decorators & Designers Association of Canada.

This led me to study Colour Consulting at Design School, with Jane Lockhart, an award-winning interior designer, television personality and author. I acquired an in-depth knowledge of the psychology of colour and became certified as an International Colour Consulting Professional (ICCP). From there I moved to acquire my certification as an International Design & Decorating Professional (IDDP).

Two proud moments for me were being selected as the winner of the Design School's “Home for the Holidays” Design Contest & receiving an Award of Merit for submission of an excellent assignment demonstrating technical skill and a high level of creative ability.

Throughout the years one thing has remained constant, and that is my passion for helping others. I get an incredible feeling of joy when I see the smiles on the faces of my clients.

I have realized my true calling and draw upon my experience, training, and passion to help my clients with their colour consulting and decorating projects and challenges.
